True Family

Family!

Family!

Yeah, we all know what the word family means. But there’s a lot more than to this word.

Talking from experience family is not what just what the title is made to be. There have been a lot of hard moments which have brought immense pain and hurt by the people which we call our family.

No doubt they care for you and love you unconditionally but they can’t always be right. No one is absolutely right in this universe. Because if we were perfect, we would have been GOD.

Your true family doesn’t always have to be related by blood. It is the one in front of whom you can be who you are, the one around which you feel safe. They are also the one who create a warm bubble or build a cocoon around you. They can be your friends, teachers or colleagues.

As a child I was a little difficult child to handle. No doubt my immediate family has done a lot for me. My parents have given me extra than what I actually deserved and my little brother was always on his toes to get each and everything what his elder sister wanted. I love them too. It’s obvious that our opinions do not match. But we make sure that we respect all the different opinions. They have made me what I am today. They are a true meaning of a family of what anyone could ever want.

But when the word family comes to my mind, it just doesn’t stop at the people who are related to me by blood. It is also my friends. It might be a bit biased for my relatives but my friends are one of the most important part of the family I possess. This is what completes my true family.

They have handled me at my worst and supported me so that I get back on my feet again. They have partied with me in all the happy occasions. They have been there when no one else was. They stood by me when I wasn’t ready to face the world. They have done a lot which no one in this world could ever have.

Through this post I want to tell all the people who have been with me in all the aspects of my life, that you people mean a lot to me and I am proud to have a family like you all. We might not talk often but you’ll always be captured in my hearts through the time we have shared together and the memories we have created. Thank you all.
